Hello again, my juice-loving-followers! This Green Lemonade juice is perfect for beginners and is packed with taste. Here is a recipe I created (remember you can always add or subtract any ingredients to make it to your liking!)
1 head of romaine lettuce
7-8 leaves of kale
1/2 to 1 lemon
1. Get organized
To begin: take out all of the ingredients you will need to make your green juice. I like to lay out all of the fruit and veggies on a cutting board & then wash them all. Once you do that, it should look something like this
2. Create a Green Base
I always begin making my juices by putting in all of my green leafy vegetables in first. By doing this, you create a kind of ‘green base’ of the juice; this way the juice will mix up more smoothly. If you juice all of your fruit and then your greens, it does not mix particularly well.. it ends up as a layer of greens and then fruits, rather than an evenly mixed juice.
3. Fruit Time
After juicing all of my veggies, I juice all of the fruit. Any fruit that has skin on it (e.g. apples, pears), I make sure to juice it only if it’s organic. There can be toxins on the fruit skin, so if I can’t get organic apples I will cut off the skin and then juice the apple. I always have fun juicing the fruit, most of them are full of water and are easy to juice
4. Get Your Pucker Face Ready!
Lastly, I like to top the green juice with either lemon or ginger, which always makes the green juice taste amazing!
5. Finishing Touch
Once you have juiced all of your ingredients, it should look something like this. Now, mix it up with a spoon, pour it into a glass and enjoy!
