Review: Novis Vita Juicer 5 out of 5 Stars!

IMG 8055

Dearest Juice Enthusiasts,

I have had the absolute pleasure of owning my very first Novis Vita Juicer. This multifunctional juicer is breaking the mold of any centrifugal juicer on the market. The Novis Vita Juicer is unlike any juicer I have ever seen- its a 4 in 1 functional appliance that combines a centrifugal juicer and citrus press in one. It is extremely high in quality, designed in Switzerland, award winning and sold in 3o countries worldwide.

The Novis yields a noticeably high amount of juice for how much you put into it. I have previously owned and used a regular centrifugal juicer everyday for 2 years and noticed a substantial amount of produce went to waste. For example, when I would juice kale it would be quickly be whipped into the trash bin. The Vita juicer can actually produce 20% more juice and nutrients than a conventional juicer. According to Novis, the juicer has one auto speed because the juicer intuitively and automatically knows when to adjust to different pulp consistencies. Additionally, there is a unique patent protected drophold that does not leak any juice out.

This past year I upgraded and got the Novis Vita Juicer.. my new best friend. It is easy to use and very safe for children to operate as well. The Vita juicer operates with a 240 watts output, has a quiet motor and comes with a full 3 year warranty. You can choose from the colours red, orange, yellow, green, blue, black, cream and white. The juicer is on the more expensive side of 500 USD, so you have to ready to invest in your juicer and health. I love the versatility, simplicity and efficiency of the juicer, making it the only juicer you will ever need!

First, lets break down the unique parts that make up the Novis Vita Juicer

  1. Drophold
  2. Reamer
  3. Pulp collector
  4. Citrus strainer
  5. Blender unit
  6. Pusher
  7. Centrifuge
  8. Shredder disc
  9. Inner container

Shredder disc

Four functions:

  1. Vitatec– combination of a citrus press and a centrifuge
  2. Centrifuge- juicing without blender
  3. Citromax– a citrus press without centrifuge
  4. Smoothie/blender- making a puree by juicing with the blender.

1.Vitatec– combination of a citrus press with a centrifuge

This function is ideal for citrus fruits such as grapefruit, lemons and oranges. The end result of this is a pulp free fresh juice. To begin juicing make sure to leave out the citrus strainer, so you are only juicing with the reamer, centrifuge strainer and shredder disc. In order to use the vitatec use your hands to press down the fruit as the reamer spins, leaving you with a creamy consistency. The pulp left over is minimal and noticeably dry.

Try this recipe:

2 grapefruits

4-5 oranges

Head of romaine lettuce, it gives it a little spice

1 bunch of mint

Why juice grapefruit?

  • Strengthen immune system due to massive amounts of Vitamin C
  • The pink part of grapefruit is lycopene, which functions as a anti-tumor aid
  • Speeds up metabolism, appetite suppressant and aids in weight loss
  • Contains potassium and calcium
  • Has a high water content, which helps with your skin complexion!

2.Centrifuge- juicing without the blender, this results as a natural juice containing no pulp.

This is ideal for hard fruits such as beets, carrots, apples and pears; along with vegetables such as cucumbers, celery, kale and spinach. There’s no need to cut all of your fruits and veggies into small pieces for the juicer has an extra wide filling funnel! Once the juicer begins to vibrate, you know that it’s time to empty the centrifuge. One tip is to use a plastic spatula to remove the juicing pulp from the centrifuge, it will come out in one clean swipe.

One extremely unique function is the drophold spout. When you have assembled your Novis Vita Juicer place a glass underneath the spout. Once it has become full, flip the spout up and the juice will stop flowing without a drop. Flip the drophold spout down and the juice will start flowing!

3 large handfuls of spinach

1/2 pineapple

1 cucumber

4 stalks celery

1 lemon

knob of ginger

Why juice pineapple anyways?

  • Full of Potassium, which is an electrolyte that lowers blood pressure and regulates the heart beat.
  • Vitamin B in pineapple is great for mental health and helps regulate your mood.
  • Vitamin C gives your immune system a boost!
  • Bromelain is an digestive enzyme and helps digestion by breaking down proteins in the body.  It is also an anti inflammatory.

You will quickly find out that lemon will become your best friend, especially in the beginning. It generally masks some of the darker green such as kale and leaves you with a sweet and sour refreshing taste. With green juicing for beginners, it is smart to start off with  green juice that has more of a mild taste, such as celery and cucumber. Over time your taste buds will adjust and you will be able to handle more intense tasting fruits and vegetables.

5 carrots

3 oranges

1 yellow bell pepper

1 lemon

Knob of ginger

Why juice carrots anyways?

  • Carrots are packed with Vitamin A, B, C, D, E and K!
  • Potassium and beta-carontene (this is a major antioxidant.) Beta-carontene improves your eyesight as well.
  • Falcarinol (antioxidant) is found in carrots and it destroys pre-cancerous cells.
  • Carrot juice is also great for your skin, regulates your blood sugar and cleanses your kidneys

3.Citromax– a citrus press without centrifuge.

This function is ideal for grapefruit, oranges, lemons or any citrus fruits. The conical shape of the citrus press is revolutionary and efficient!

3 oranges

1 grapefruit

1/2 lemon

4.Smoothie/blender making a puree by juicing with the blender

This is ideal for soft fruits and vegetables such as raspberries, strawberries, watermelon, blueberries, tomatoes, etc. The result is a thick and smooth puree. Stay away from hard fruits and vegetables, for it could damage your Novis Vita Juicer. This puree is ideal for cooking, desserts and smoothies. Remember to not press too hard on the pusher when feeding the chute, this way you allow the fruits and vegetables to maximise the juicing output.

1/4 watermelon

3 oranges

1 lemon

Tip: Start using the smoothie function with the watermelon and the switch the the citrus press for the citrus!

Why juice watermelon?

🔹This fruit is full of 92% of water and is great for weight loss (lowers water retention).
🔹Has lycopene, which actually gives watermelon its color, this antioxidant detox’s your body from harmful free radicals
🔹Minerals: potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, copper, zinc and iron.
🔹Contains betacarotene and Vitamin B.

🔹Helps with sore muscles, lowers blood pressure and is an anti-inflammatory!

The Novis Vita Juicer is dishwasher safe. Remember to remove the top of the pusher to clean it, it snaps right out. All of the parts are able to go through the dishwasher and should not exceed 60 degrees celsius. One drawback for the Vita Juicer is it isn’t able to juice large quantities of juice because it has no trash bucket. However the lack of trash bucket is part of the attraction and simplicity of the juicer.
